SASSA News Update - South Africa’s Social Grants Get a Boost: Early Payments and Increased Amounts Roll Out in April 2025 Millions of South Africa’s most vulnerable citizens will receive their SASSA social grants earlier than usual this April, alongside the first payment increases of 2025.  The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) announced the adjusted schedule to avoid delays caused by a weekend overlap, ensuring beneficiaries can access funds ahead of the month’s critical expenses.   Why the Early Payout? Typically paid between the 3rd and 5th of each month, SASSA grants will land in accounts earlier due to the 5th falling on a Saturday.
