SASSA: What Happens If You Don't Change Your Gold Card? How to Get Paid

 Sassa gold and black card South African Social Security Agency ( SASSA ) beneficiaries have until 20 March 2025 to swap their expiring Gold Cards for Postbank Black Cards.  While payments will continue post-deadline, failing to switch cards by then disrupt access to funds.   After 20 March 2025, unchanged Gold Cards will not function at ATMs , retailers, or cashback points all around South Africa.  Beneficiaries who miss the deadline must visit their nearest Post Office branches to collect grants in person , creating potential delays, travel costs, and overcrowding risks.
